happened upon this travel blog, welcome. i apologize for the brevity of the blog, but this is my last post.

for those who’d like a brief backstory: i live on long island, drove across the country to washington in under 3 days, stayed in a room rented from the lovely jeanette dames (http://www.unispri.com/) for 2 months, and trekked through 15 hikes or so. most of those hikes are up, though some i thought weren’t worthwhile so they aren’t. i took around 1500 pictures and deleted 1000 or so. after washington, my friend from home joe l flew out to san franscisco where i picked him up and we roadtripped back to new york. we saw the beauty america has to offer. we saw the images you see in pictures and think “well, shit, i’ll never see that in my lifetime.” we saw the sunset over the pacific, the redwoods, yosemite national park and half dome, the mojave desert, the grand canyon, the bonneville salt flats, and mount rushmore. we slept in the car and every bit of it was incredible. unfortunately, my camera broke while running on the salt flats (nothing but pitch white salt for miles provides no context to judge your movement, so while running you feel as if you aren’t even moving). we stopped off in a starbucks before bonneville so i was able to upload some of the pictures.
